Pro Bono Technology Innovations During the Pandemic - 3.24.21

One year ago, our lives changed dramatically as overnight, we had to shift to a virtual service model with the onset of the global pandemic. As legal service providers, pro bono providers, and providers serving low-income clients, we have had to change so much about how clients are served, but it was imperative to continue our work.

In Indiana, Robert Rath, the Chief Innovation Officer of the Indiana Courts, has been on the front lines of keeping the courts open and functioning. During this webinar, attendees will have an opportunity to review software and processes designed to allow for remote pro bono  and court navigation services that will continue to aid low income litigants well after the end of the pandemic.

Also joining Robert will be staff from the ABA Center for Pro Bono, who have been running drop-in calls for pro bono providers throughout the pandemic, where they have seen what so many programs are doing to serve clients virtually throughout the country. ABA Staff will review these efforts, along with resources available from the Center. They will also preview the upcoming Equal Justice Conference.

Rounding out the speaker panel will be Scott Wylie, Executive Director of Pro Bono Indiana. During the pandemic, Pro Bono Indiana took their client service to new heights, and have found exciting new ways to partner with private practices, serve clients virtually, and continue the work that is so important to each of us.

Event Speakers:

Robert Rath, Chief Innovation Officer of the Indiana Courts

Marissa LaVette, Assistant Staff Counsel, ABA Center for Pro Bono

Scott Wylie, Executive Director of Pro Bono Indiana
